- : I have reconnected the Couriers, and they were a little quicker this time
- : with my test file, this time between 7K and 8K/s, still far from 11K/s.
- : Perhaps the transfer was slower before due to different ROM revisions or
- : something. These two both have supervisor dates of 7/5/95.
-
- Perhaps something else entirely is going on.

- : so if you want it, I can send it to you and you can try it yourself.
-
- Zip it up and attach it to a message to me.
-
- : This data does not correlate well with the data I also collected below,
- : however, using the Hayes test files. On the Hayes test files, the Couriers
- : were faster.

- I notice the "PM SZ", am I correct in that this is OS/2 to OS/2 machine?
- Am I also correct in presuming that the host is running multiple tasks or
- logins at the time of these tests? Have you factored in the cpu overhead
- and the effect this might have on your tests? My tests were run on 2 USR's
- connected between 2 PC's running DOS 5.0. One machine was running Desqview
- and had 2 nodes open with a user on the other node.
-
- Since others have shown the same results as I have shown you, I am
- mystified by your apparent problems here. Perhaps after I get the test
- file you used that got such a poor rate, I will be able to see some
- other reason for poor rates.
-
- I will also run the Supra against these to see what I get with that.
